Momos Coffee

Ranked 22nd in the World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops 2026, Momos Coffee has long been regarded as one of Korea’s leading specialty coffee roasters. Established in 2007 and recognised with Korea’s Blue Ribbon awards for over a decade, it was a stop we simply could not miss while in Busan.

The flagship café in Yeongdo is every bit as impressive as its reputation. Surrounded by lush greenery, natural light and thoughtfully designed spaces, the café feels calm and welcoming. Despite its size, the different indoor and outdoor sections are arranged so that every corner remains comfortable rather than crowded. It is the kind of place that encourages you to slow down and stay a little longer.

Momos sources coffee from more than 150 partner farms around the world. We ordered their signature Pistachio Cream Latte, which combines pistachio cream with Korean green plum syrup. The plum syrup lightened what would otherwise have been a rich, creamy drink, while the coffee itself came through with confidence and clarity. The quality of the roast was immediately evident. Unfortunately, as the ice melted quickly in Busan’s summer heat, the drink gradually lost its balance. In hindsight, their hand-drip coffee might have been a better way to appreciate their roasting.

Fortunately, we brought home several bags of Momos coffee. The standout was their Busan blend. Smooth, rounded and consistent from the first sip to the last, it carried no noticeable acidity or sharpness. It was such an enjoyable cup that our only regret was not buying more.

Sometimes, the best souvenir from a journey isn’t a photograph – it’s the coffee you wish had lasted longer.
